What BarCalcs is, and who it's for

Bar math is not complicated, but it is constant. What does this drink cost? Can we sell it at fourteen dollars? How much of this batch do I need for two hundred guests? How strong is that punch actually? BarCalcs answers those questions with the same formulas a beverage director uses, laid out so a bartender on a phone can use them mid-shift.

Every tool is built for real invoice numbers: bottle sizes in millilitres, pours in ounces, dashes and barspoons included, garnish and ice accounted for. Results show cost, pour cost percentage and gross profit together, so you can see the trade-off instead of one isolated number.

Built for

  • Bartenders — spec a new drink and know instantly whether it can live on the menu.
  • Bar managers — audit pour cost by bottle and catch the pours that are quietly losing money.
  • Beverage directors — price a full menu against a target cost, not a gut feeling.
  • Caterers & event bartenders — batch and quote with numbers you can hand to a client.

Frequently asked questions

Are the BarCalcs calculators really free?
Yes. Every calculator on BarCalcs runs in your browser and is free to use with no account, no email and no trial. Optional accounts for saving recipes and exporting reports will be added later, but the math stays free.
Who are these bar calculators for?
Bartenders costing a new drink, bar managers auditing pour cost, beverage directors pricing a menu, caterers quoting an event and owners checking margins. The tools work equally well on a phone behind the bar or a laptop in the office.
What is a good pour cost for a bar?
Most bars target a 18–24% overall pour cost: roughly 15–20% for spirits, 20–25% for beer and 28–35% for wine. Craft cocktails with fresh juice and house syrups usually land between 18% and 22%.
Do you store the numbers I enter?
No. Calculations happen locally in your browser and nothing you type is sent to a server or saved between visits.
